About

Yukimi was born from my deep passion for textiles and natural fibres. Guided by the values of slow living, I find inspiration in a natural way of life and the beauty that surrounds me. My journey has always been about staying true to my heart and creating pieces that reflect what is truly important to me. Each design is a direct connection to nature, drawn from my reverence for Mother Earth and the plants that nourish and guide me.

The latest collection draws from soft woven cottons and dreamy linens. Fabrics that provide comfort while embracing the spirit of the wild feminine. My clothing is intentional and designed to empower the wearer.

Textiles have always been a part of my life. My mother, the most skilled seamstress I know, sparked my love for fabric and textiles when we began making and selling clothing together at a young age. This love for craftsmanship and artistry was deepened on my first trip to India, where I immediately felt at home. The colours, the people, the fabrics and the artisans all called to me and inspired me so much.

India is where I find my soul’s home and it’s here that I discovered a vibrant culture of weaving and craftsmanship that mirror my values. I have built strong relationships with local artisans and learned so much from their ways of working. Each piece I create is born from this connection and the deep knowledge I gained from my mother’s guidance.

Sustainability is at the heart of Yukimi. I work primarily with surplus fabrics, off cuts and end of the roll materials that I find in local markets. This ensures that each collection is small, limited edition and uniquely special. The process of creating these garments is slow, intentional, and beautiful. I spend months each year in India, working closely with my tailors and their families, fostering a deep and meaningful relationship. Supporting these artisans feels incredibly fulfilling, knowing that my work helps provide fair wages and dependable employment in a way that positively impacts their lives without leaving a carbon footprint.

Yukimi is more than just a clothing line; it’s a way to support communities, honour craftsmanship, and connect with the earth in a meaningful way.
